Supply Resilience for the Wind Energy Sector

Stability is a key requirement in the logistics of every industry. Terminal Logistics Services ensures a continuous supply cycle of critical wind turbine components between Spain and Kazakhstan.

As part of this project, Terminal Logistics Services arranges the regular delivery of the Main Shaft, the main shaft of the wind turbine: new equipment to Kazakhstan and the return of dismantled or defective parts to the manufacturing plant in Spain.

Each such trip requires impeccable coordination. The cargo dimensions of 397 × 339 × 332 cm with a weight of 31.3 tonnes make it oversized and require the use of specialised low-loader transport.

In addition to the main shaft, the project transports wind turbine components. Terminal Logistics Services arranges their delivery via the Southern route, without transhipment of the cargo at intermediate stages. This approach ensures the safety of the equipment and the stability of the delivery schedule. For each shipment, the loading of up to five vehicles is coordinated, and the entire process is monitored by the company's specialists at every section of the route.

At all stages, Terminal Logistics Services provides full project support: cargo insurance, obtaining permits, processing TIR and export-transit documents, as well as additional securing and covering of the equipment with tarpaulin to protect against weather impacts.
In Kazakhstan, loading and unloading operations are carried out using truck cranes under the constant supervision of the company's specialists, with mandatory photo and video recording for the report sent to the customer.

Thanks to a clearly established logistics scheme and attention to detail, Terminal Logistics Services ensures the uninterrupted execution of such trips in both directions, maintaining supply resilience for the wind energy sector.
