A Successful Logistics Operation for an Industrial Project in Kazakhstan
In the field of project logistics, it is important not just to deliver the cargo.
The Terminal Logistics Services team proposed a solution for the transportation of industrial equipment along the route Khorgos – Ayak Kodzhan deposit (Kazakhstan) as part of the construction of a new cathode copper production plant. This solution combined speed, engineering precision and cost efficiency.
The total weight of the transported equipment was 610.5 tonnes. The company's specialists conducted a detailed cargo survey, developed an optimal scheme for its placement and securing, and also proposed a technical solution that made it possible to reduce the number of transport units from 42 to 27 through the use of 130-cubic-metre vehicles and high-capacity low-loaders. This not only optimised the logistics, but also made it possible to significantly reduce the customer's costs.
The route ran through off-road sections in difficult weather conditions, however, thanks to well-thought-out coordination at all stages, the transportation was completed in 26 days without deviations from the schedule and in strict compliance with safety requirements.
The preliminary thorough preparation for customs clearance carried out by our experts made it possible to release 27 goods declarations on the day of the cargo's arrival.
This project became an example of Terminal Logistics Services' comprehensive approach to project logistics management, where competent planning, engineering solutions and clear interaction of all participants turn a complex task into an efficiently achievable result.
Participation in a project aimed at the development of high-tech and environmentally safe production is of particular value to Terminal Logistics Services. The company's team is proud of its contribution to the creation of infrastructure that will become part of the new industrial ecosystem of Kazakhstan.
